Carn - the Celtic League members magazine edition number 158 has just been collected from the printers in Cornwall today and will be distributed to full members over the coming weeks. Published continually since 1973, it is believed to be one of the longest running journals of its type. This is the first edition printed in Kernow, the previous editions having been produced in Eire. As usual. Carn contains articles written in all the six Celtic tongues and in English as well. Items include the stance of Trade Unions on the Union in Scotland, the Red Bonnets in Brittany, a review of Devolution in Wales, the story of Richard G Jenkin a great Cornishman, the jailing of 79 year old Margaretta D'Arcy a peace activist in Ireland, news from the Isle of Man and even from Patagonia. There is much, much more, including news of Cornwall Branch activists and their actions to remove English Defence League posters pasted over Cornish signposts and signage where St Piran flags had been defaced. News, views, opinions, politics and culture from the Celtic Nations.
